Trentino wines: types
Red, white and sparkling wines: the best from the grapes to the bottle
The Trentino wines produced by our Cantina are the results of experience gained in over 100 years of history, of continuous innovation and the search for excellence. Our 430 hectares surrounding the town of Roveré della Luna, different in altitude and soil composition, allow us to produce Trentino red wines (40%) Trentino white wines (32%) and fine Trentodoc sparkling wines (28%).
We enhance the natural aromas of the local grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio and Nero, Chardonnay, Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Lagrein and Teroldego Rotaliano to produce Trentino wines with a unique border character.
White wines
White grape varieties draw nourishment from alluvial soil; thanks to these nutrient-rich plots we manage to produce white Trentino wines full of the crisp mountain freshness that surrounds us. Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Müller Thurgau and Gewürztraminer: their fruity and spicy notes are really full of surprises…
Red wines
Plots with a gravel and limestone composition on the other hand are where the grapes are grown used to produce red wines. During its 100-year history our Cantina has been able to experiment and achieve levels of excellence in regard to the production of typical red wines such as the full-bodied Teroldego Rotaliano DOC, as well as Lagrein and Pinot Nero, that capture the tastebuds with their intensity and the eye with their vivid colours.
Mountain sparkling wines
Crispness, elegance and minerality: Trentodoc sparkling wines become the protagonist of every important occasion. The temperature range the grapes are exposed to and a long time on the lees as prescribed by the Production Regulations, are the formula to obtain perfect Mountain sparkling wines. The notes of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco are enhanced by our Trentodoc.
